Liane focuses on the economic analysis of IFC’s investments in extractive industries globally. In this role she also leads on IFC’s policies in the extractive sector, including transparency and disclosure and manages IFC’s work program on benefit sharing. Before joining IFC, she worked at a London-based social policy think tank after several years in financial consulting on Wall Street. She holds degrees in economics and social policy from the University of Chicago and the London School of Economics.
