CONTRIBUTORS Birgitt Walz-Tylla

Birgitt took over the role as Head of Sustainability & Business Stewardship within Agricultural Commercial Operations at Bayer CropScience in March 2013. After her studies in food science technology at Stuttgart-Hohenheim University, she joined Bayer AG in 1988 as head of the food processing laboratory at the Institute for Residue Analysis at Bayer’s Plant Protection Center in Monheim, Germany. In 1992 she obtained her PhD in food science at Stuttgart Hohenheim University. In 1997, she changed within Bayer CropScience to the global Marketing Department, held various positions in Product and Issue Management, and became Head of Food Chain Management for 7 years before heading the global Department for Sustainability & Business Stewardship.
