CONTRIBUTORS Antonio Bernales

Antonio is the director, lead consultant, and founder of Futuro Sostenible, a Peruvian non-profit organization dedicated to research, training and assistance in environmental negotiation, consensus building and mediation process. He has been an independent mediator and facilitator since 1990, a Consultant for the World Bank’s Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO) since 2004, a member of the Democratic Dialogue Project Community of Practice (UNDP), Grupo Confluencias, a co-founder of the Global network of Community, Company & Government Dialogue facilitators, and a member of the dialogue practitioners global network Consensus Building Institute. Antonio completed a PhD in sustainable development studies, master’s degrees in development planning and public finance administration as well as a BSc in fisheries engineering. He has produced and contributed to policy papers on climate change adaptation and renewable natural resources management.
