Oscar is responsible for managing key agribusiness client relationships as Director of the Client Leadership Group in IFC. He joined IFC in 1990 as an Investment Officer in the Africa department and moved to the Latin American & Caribbean department, where he actively contributed to the development of IFC’s portfolio in the region. From Manager of the Health and Education department, he was appointed Director of the Agribusiness department. He played a key role in positioning agribusiness as a priority sector for IFC, building strong relationships with local, regional and global players, expanding the range of products offered by IFC to agribusiness clients, and delivering an investment program with a strong development impact. He then became Director of the Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services Department for the Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Oscar came to IFC with extensive experience in the private sector, particularly in financial services in Argentina, Brazil, and the United States. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a Certified Public Accountant.
